Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for patients with substance use, emotional, behavioural, and psychological concerns
• Evaluate clinical history and relevant findings to diagnose substance use disorders, psychiatric conditions, and co-occurring mental health concerns
• Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications while assessing treatment response, withdrawal symptoms, and tolerability
• Provide counselling, behavioural guidance, relapse-prevention support, and ongoing psychiatric care according to individual patient needs
• Coordinate with counsellors, psychologists, physicians, families, and other care providers to support comprehensive addiction treatment and rehabilitation

• Full-time consultant role within the psychiatry and addiction treatment services of a de-addiction centre
